Best of the week:

Batters: C Gary Sanchez and OF Mason Williams: The Yankees’ two best prospects are still a couple years away, but the future is bright if they can keep this up.

Pitchers: RHP Montgomery and RHP Rafael De Paula: Montgomery is quickly rising as one of the best relievers in the Yankees’ system. He could be up VERY soon this year if he keeps doing well. De Paula finally made his debut in the US after some issues with his visa, and he retired 11 of his 13 outs by strike out. 49 of his 71 pitches were for strikes (69%!!!!)

Worst of the week:

Batters: IF Dante Bichette Jr. and OF Slade Heathcott: Son of 4X All-Star Dante, Sr., Junior has looked awful despite a HR and four RBI, striking out seven times in 16 at-bats. Heathcott is one of the Yankees’ expected breakout players this year but struggled in Trenton this weekend

Pitchers: LHP Nik Turley and RHP Brett Marshall: Two less touted but talented pitchers were shelled in their first starts of the year, but they should be better and improve this year.
